A Re-coursing and SQA Priority Marking Review afternoon will be held on Wednesday 16th August (12:30-3:00pm).
SQA Priority Marking Review
A priority marking review should be requested when a candidate requires a result to secure a conditional place at university or college. In order for a priority marking review request to be accepted and processed before the UCAS deadline at the end of August, the school must submit the request as soon as possible after the service opens on 8 August 2017, and no later than 18 August 2017.
Students who require a priority marking review must attend school on the 16th August. If you require a priority marking review and are unable to attend on this day please contact the school office as soon as SQA results are known.
This will allow students an opportunity to review their course options based on performance in SQA exams. It may be that they performed above expectation in a subject which they elected to drop and may wish to change to ensure progression. Alternatively, where pupils have performed below expectation they will be able to get advice from the Senior Leadership Team on the best possible course choice to meet their needs in the coming academic year. Sorting these matters before the start of term in August will allow us to maximise learning time on return to school.
Pupils who require a change of course or simply wish to discuss their options should attend school on 16th August (Assembly Hall). No appointment necessary.
